The Story of Mrs. Tetiana from Zaporizhzhia
71-year-old Tetiana Ivanivna knows what it means to face life’s challenges. After years of working at a factory, she dreamed of a peaceful retirement, but the war changed all her plans. She and her husband live in Zaporizhzhia, a city that has suffered severe destruction. Broken windows, cold, and constant air raid alerts have become part of their daily life.

Help came from the CO “WORLD.UKRAINE.POLOHY” and the organization @ActedUkraine with the support of the EU, who installed new windows in their home. This not only improved their living conditions but also gave them hope for a return to normal life. “Now we can live without the cold and constant worry,” Tetiana says gratefully.

For pensioners living on a limited income, such assistance has become a vital necessity. In her free time, Tetiana knits socks for her grandchildren, finding comfort in simple joys.

This story is a vivid example of the resilience of the Ukrainian spirit and the importance of humanitarian aid. “We only want one thing — peace, so that people no longer suffer. Take care of yourselves and support one another,” urges Mrs. Tetiana.
